Susie Homemaker?!?!

I am trying to be a cute little house wife that can whip up a meal or, in this case, a school treat and have it be delicious and nice.

I came up with 3 analogies last night:

1. Pinterest makes everything look a LOT easier than it is in reality.
2. Cooking, cleaning and being a Mother (not to mention adding 2 adorable kiddos to the mix) is not a simple task.
3. Sometimes, it is easier, faster and cheaper to just buy it from the store to begin with. And here is my example of why...

Dax's birthday is in June, so they just pick a random day at preschool to celebrate, since they will be out of school in June. And today was his day. The kid has an obsession with infomercials and one of our most recent purchases was a few Bake Pop Pans. They are pretty awesome actually, that is why I ordered them. I mean, if I ordered everything he asked for from informecials, you would have to put us on Hoarders. Anyway, so we decided to make him some cute Bake Pops. The cakes turned out perfect, they are really easy. But I wanted to dip them in white chocolate for the coating instead of frosting. To make a long story short, when you melt Almond Bark and add food coloring, it does not work out and ends up in the garbage can. Like this....

And if you attempt to make your own frosting from butter and powedered sugar, it doesn't mix well for some unknown reason and turns out like this:

And CLEARLY nobody wants to eat that.

So I went to the store and bought frosting and in the end, it turned out okay and Dax took his bake pops to school, looking like this...

So, it turned out to be a cute, fun and YUMMY snack for him to take. I am getting there.... I think... slowly....

Can Am Commander

Larry has been wanting a side-by-side for a while. And really, we need one to haul all 3 (yes, 3 of them) of our kiddo's around when we go camping or just on a ride close to home. So he decided to get a Can Am Commander with a removable seat in the back for the kids. It is SO nice and rides really smooth. He got it yesterday after work and so we were able to take it for a little ride and FREEZE our butts off.

Brons and Bry were not with us, so Dax had to be the sole back seat tester. He is really smiling in this pic, it is just hidden.

SAND DUNES.... HERE WE COME!!!

***THUMPER***

My friend Sarah and I took Dax to IFA yesterday to see the new spring chics and bunnies. I should have known that we would leave with something! Dax, Sarah and I.... we are all softies for animals, especially the babies. So... here is our new addition to the fam, THUMPER:

Baby Goats!!!

Larry's friend and neighbor raises goats and the momma's are having their babies this week, so we took the kiddo's over to see them. Cutest things ever!!! The kids got to hold them and play with them. It was so fun. They are only like 2 and 3 days old and it is amazing how active and stable they are. Just one more reason why Spring is SO FUN!

Aren't they just darling?!? My cute boys AND the goats!!!

Spring?!?!?

It is starting to feel like spring has arrived, most of the time. Last week was so nice and warm, but when the weekend came it got dang windy and it was pretty chilly! Dax and I were at Larry's house (a cute, GREAT guy I have been seeing who has 2 adorable children of his own) and the kids NEEDED to get out. Larry and I had about had it, so we loaded the kids in his jeep, got treats and went for a little ride. The wind died down a bit and we were able to get out and let the kids run and shoot the pistol. It was Dax's first time shooting a real gun and he loved it. He was pretty dang good too, he hit the can a few times. He must take after his momma ;)

What a handsome man!!!
